I only have model 1200 so I can’t compare it to anything else. I buy some quilted non-Foodsaver bags on ebay which have top quality and a very attractive price. I bought a 3 size pack which suits me just fine. The rolls were too much bother. If you can get a good price (sign up for the email specials and buy when they offer free shipping), I’d recommend buying the larger plexi square container; its perfect for vacuum marinating. I use that for steaks and jerky marinating mostly. I also bought the Mr Coffee coffee bean container and hand-held vaccuum seler which I use daily. The only problem I have with these products is sealing meats that want to bleed liquid into the sealing area. I’d appreciate any tips. Myself I minimize this by freezing the meat in the bag and then sealing it.
