That’s funny you should mention "Slumgullion" being from MA. There is a pass named the same just before you get into Lake City, CO on CO149 I believe. Anyway, back in the 1800’s a guy buy the name of Alferd Packer got snowbound in that area with his buddies. He walked out in April and had not lost much weight. His buddies never returned.
