Tiki, the most common dried currant, if that’s what you meant, is called a Zante currant, and isn’t that a kind of small grape as opposed to a genuine currant? I like those in bread pudding. Recently I used dried blueberries, but the color of the oatmeal was unappetizing. You’d think purple would work, but that’s like the famous Gemmell blue cakes. Do you cook in those dried cramberries? My partner really likes cranberries.
