Thanks – my other favorite, totally non-food relate and totally dark humor – was a drawing of a skeleton with covered with cobwebs, holding a cup in one hand and pressing a doorbell with the other hans. On the cup was a sign: Give to the Blind. Over the doorbell was a sign: School for the Deaf.
Did you see that one? (Sorry if I offended anyone…._)
Who could be offended? It’s not funny, it’s IRONIC… AND absurd.
I once saw a similar one, obviously modelled after a Gary Larson Far Side cartoon. In it was the skeleton of a schoolchild. The door was labelled "REAR ENTRANCE – SCHOOL FOR THE GIFTED"… the door was prominently labelled "PULL" and the skeleton had obviously been pushing for quite some time….
When Curtis Mayfield wrote the great song "Keep On Pushing," I don’t think that was what he meant.
