Yesterday a friend of mine and I went to the restaurant at the Mammoth Cave Hotel, located in the national park in central Kentucky, to try their fried chicken. Each plate was $12.95, but what they gave you was worth it. All three pieces were enormous! And it was pretty good. It wasn’t the greatest fried chicken I’d ever had, but it wasn’t the worst, either. I ate every bit of it, which gives you an indication of its worth. I didn’t have room for much of my green beans or potato salad, both of which were average but a tad better than what you usually find. The menu said that the restaurant didn’t serve fried chicken until 4:30 p.m., but when asked if they would make some anyway, they didn’t mind at all.
