E-town is less than 40 min south of Louisville. Check the threads on this site for a number of places within a short drive for great food. It is only an hour to Lexington, so include the Lex. area in you search on this site.

A couple of things to put on your ‘don’t miss’ list… The Patton Museum at Ft Knox (and the Gold depository also) Free and a good way to spend a couple of hours. (10 min. from E-town)

Another is the Jim Beam or Heaven Hill or Makers Mark or 4 Roses distilleries that ring the E-town area on the NorthEast (close to Bardstown) All of them have free tours..Heaven Hill has a great tasting room included in the tour.

E-town is fairly close to Ft Knox and has a ton of Big-Box stores and chain restaurants. You don’t say when you are going to be in KY…but if it is in Feb. try joining us at the Moonlite BBQ in Owensboro on the 18th. It is shaping up to be quite a get-together.
