I haven’t been there for a few years, but I’ll tell you what I told a traveler back in March of ’04 about a good place to eat just 10 miles south of Elizabethtown:

I don’t about breakfast, but for lunch and dinner a traveler in between Elizabethtown and Bowling Green, KY should try the Whistle Stop Restaurant in Glendale, Kentucky. A small town by the railroad tracks, just 10 miles or less below Elizabethtown, KY on I-65, the Whistle Stop Restaurant has put Glendale on the map across the state. As to what the eat there, you can’t go wrong in these parts when you opt for fried chicken or country ham. And, of course, sweet iced tea.
