I like oysters, but have eaten mussels (ones that have the greenish shell) when offered at restaurants.
Most mussels have a strong taste that I don t care for. But, I have eaten some that were sweet and mild flavored and not much different than an oyster. So here is my question: how should a mussel taste?
I usually assume the strong taste of mussels were because they were a little past their prime or poor handling.
