Although I was still a patron of the typical corporate fast food places when my kids were small, we did manage to get them into a few good Roadfood places (After all, Mama was from Kansas City and Daddy is from Chicago; no shortage of Roadfood there). As they grew, and our finances and tastes improved, we weaned them and ourselves from the arches, et al, to the point where even as pre-adolescents they would have nothing to do with big business fat and sugar.
I think it is a parent’s responsibility to provide the best options that are within their means to their children. Whether it is education, spiritual guidance, good manners or good eats, why wouldn’t you provide them with the best you can afford? Most Roadfood type places will have something that will suit the needs of almost any child of any age or demeanor. Start them off right as early as you possibly can. They’ll thank you later.
