I fix dip dogs using whatever my wife has on hand – usually it’s a pancake batter (an inexpensive pack costs about fifty cents), but onion ring batter works also. Roll the weiners in flour (makes the batter adhere), use tongs to dip the weiners in the batter, let the excess batter run off the end of the weiner and place in the "Fry Daddy". I don’t use sticks, ’cause the weiner with a stick won’t fit in the "Fry Daddy".

Experiment with other flour based batters (might want to consider beer as an ingredient) untill you find one that suits your taste.

Try this and enjoy your dip dogs!
