I’m surprised you just can’t take Yonge St. the whole way to Vegas, LOL, well it seems pretty long!

First stop for me off I-80 in Ohio would be Toledo and Tony Packo’s on Front St. just off I-280 about 5 miles off I-80 … well worth the trip and especially if you liked the TV show M*A*S*H which featured it in several episodes. Hey you might even run into Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes who just bought a House nearby!

Further up in Indiana in Calumet there is Phil Smidts a great place for fresh Lake Perch and Frog Legs!
Exit Calumet Avenue North. Then North 3-1/2 miles to Phil Smidt’s. 2. From I-80 to I-65 North (In Indiana). … http://www.philsmidts.com or http://www.froglegs.com

On the way home …. In Arizona off I-40 do yourself a big favor and exit at Seligman and visit the "Snow Cap Drive Inn Restaurant" Best fun you will have the whole trip … take plenty of film to this place!

New signs, new paving, and a nostalgia for small town Americana with its mom and pop burger shops, full-service gas stations and home town atmosphere all have contributed to the rebirth of Seligman as one of the most classic and charming Route 66 towns in the West.

A drive down Main Street in Seligman today is a trip into the past with Angel’s Barbershop, the Snow Cap Drive-In and the Copper Cart restaurant, just to name a few. The world-famous Snow Cap is famous for having fun with unsuspecting tourists. The Snow Cap is perhaps one of the most wackiest, off-beat burger joints in the world today. Juan and his family serve up a generous dose of humor along with some of the best hot dogs, red chiliburgers and tacos, not to mention homemade rootbeer, great shakes and ice cream. It’s a real HOOT!

MIKEY …. let us know how it goes eh!
