While I have seen those boxes of muffins in Nanuet as well, I am not sure if they are baked there or if a third party makes them. Years ago, Pechters used to get donuts from Acme Cake in Brooklyn. They did not bake everything they sold in that outlet store. I am still trying to determine if that supermarket Pechters bread that Ellen posted a picture of about a month ago in the thread on Harold’s is baked in Harrison or Nanuet. The problem is that Rockland and Pechters were head-to-head competitors in certain parts of the NYC metro area, such as Manhattan where their delivery areas overlapped. I fear that some favorite items of mine will get dropped as one plant takes over production of the item for the combined corporation. Certainly, Harrison is no longer producing the hot dog buns you would see on NYC dirty water hot dog carts.
