OMG!  I can’t believe you’ve been to Mr. Whitekeys’!  Whale Fat Follies!  Been there many times…….home of “Spam, Booze, Rhythm and Blues”!  Some really funny stuff, especially if you’re Alaskan or at least have lived there awhile.  Back in the pipeline days the house special was champagne and Spam.  If you ordered a good bottle of champagne the Spam dinner was 1/2 off.  If you ordered a bottle of Dom, Spam dinner was free!  They would close at 5AM and re-open at 8AM.  Just long enough to mop all the crud off the floor and clean the bathrooms.  The troupe still gets together every summer and does the Whale Fat Follies.  This year they’re at the TapRoom in Spenard, not far from where the old Fly By Night Club was.  The Wall of Spam is an Alaskan classic!
