I stayed in the rainforest at "Bosque De Paz" for several days a couple of years ago on a birdwatching trip. I can personally attest that the hospitality by the Gonzalez family and particularly Frederico Jr. was outstanding and the three gourmet meals were prepared fresh for you at each meal. Wonderful Wonderful food. They own several thousand acres on top of a mountain. Heard the Arenal and Poas Volcano popping off several times. Hummingbirds everywhere and wildlife was abundant. I went on three hikes everyday just birding. I added 75 new species to my list.
While in San Jose, I stayed at the Marriott and I can tell you that their breakfast was outta sight. The fruit table had to be 50 feet long and the juice bar was almost the same. The hotel is on a coffee plantation and the scenery around it was super.
They have a group that does perfect Yanni music at night.
Please enjoy.
