At the recent luncheon at Woodford Reserve Distillery we enjoyed some ‘Fried Apples’ with a Bourbon-based sauce. Janet attempted to copy the recipe using our own apples and some fine Kentucky (Knob Creek) Bourbon. What a wonderful flavor the bit of Bourbon added to one of my favorite desserts !
It was even better in an Apple-Sweet Potato cassarole ! I could get used to that extra flavor easily![:p]
