Followed Ketteract’s lead and decided that giant grinders from Carbone’s was a perfectly wonderful Valentine’s Day treat. Tim got the 8 inch Genoa with the works, and I got the 8 inch Saturday only special ribeye with provolone, onions, and mayo. The ribeye was unbelievably tender – not a single “bite down and pull out a giant chunk of meat” occurence (at least in the first half – the other half has to wait until tomorrow – the sandwich was 1 1/2 pounds).
