I like the idea of an Italian bread pizza! I’ve made them myself in the past. D’elia’s might even make you one as a special order. Or buy the ingredients and make your own.
I haven’t written about thickness of meat before, but I am in the thin-sliced camp–no matter what kind of meat. More tender, less chewy. In fact, when it comes to grinders, I like them the way D’elia’s does them–very thinly-sliced ingredients: tomatoes, provolone, salami or other meat, and finely shredded lettuce.
