PSU got screwed.

Forget the September losses, it’s supposed to be the 4 best teams at the end of the season. And conference championships ARE supposed to mean something. (remember OSU getting in over TCU?). That’s why they want conferences to have them. Otherwise, there’s no incentive to give another top ranked team a loss.

You can’t say that OSU is unequivocally better than PSU, when PSU beat them head to head mid-season. Yes, PSU got smashed, in September, by Michigan, since then: undefeated for PSU; while, since then, Michigan 2 losses. 

PSU’s other loss was against Pitt on the road, who also beat Clemson AT Clemson, and are ranked in the top 25. PSU also beat the American Conference Champion.

Ya know who else got screwed? Colorado. They should be in the Rose Bowl since they finished 2nd on the Pac 12 overall AND ahead of USC by a game. But, USC is a bigger name, so the CFB put them one spot in front of Colorado so that USC got the Rose Bowl – a bigger name, a bigger draw from TV and tickets at the stadium. that’s all that mattered there.

The ONLY reason PSU is not in the CFB Playoff is because people still don’t think they suffered enough after the Sandusky blow up. Period.

So far, the CFB hasn’t proven to be any better than the BCS.
