When I lived in LA I used to get Almond Duck from Wah’s Golden Hen on Virgil (Silverlake/East Hollywood area). It was crispy in a sweet and sour sauce with shreds of lettuce and really good.. UPDATE: did try it, and it was definitely pressed duck. Didn’t like the prep overall as much as Wah’s Golden Hen, but my memory of that has probably elevated it in the 20 plus years since I tasted it last.

Wah’s has a reutation for being old school. They just might have it. Thanks and welcome to Roadfood, Burnt My Fingers!
