Glad to see Pita Inn get a mention in these posts. I always thought that would be a solid choice for a place that should be featured on roadfood.com.

Another good place (especially for gyros) is Hub’s, just down the road from the Skokie Pita Inn.

Other favorites:

Breakfast: Walker Bros.
Hot Dogs: Mustard’s Last Stand
Pizza: Carmen’s (Edwardo’s a close second)
Italian Beef: Herm’s Palace (Skokie) – Surprisingly good.
Steak: Pete Miller’s (Evanston)

I’d go on, but I feel I’m getting boring. [8D] It’s wonderful to hear folks going on about this topic.
