Thankee 🙂

Unfortunately, all meals today were preplanned by my company, so while I could report on culinary experiences, I woudn’t have anythign positive to say 🙂

Amusingly, the dinner choice that was made fo us was Giordanos. 🙂 Mind you, I would have been happy to eat that pizza again, but the buffet was preplaned and we had a variety of bland trayed food…..

That said, I had time to walk a 30 block or so circuit more or less mendering around and about the Sears tower before the late-scheduled dinner, and was suprised to find ot a single hot dog place. I had assumed from reading had done (on this site and on Hollyeats) that hot dog/sausage places were pervasive throughout downtown Chicago, but nary a one did I find. Mind you, there were places that served sausages and dogs, but none I saw that specialized in these.

I also found several Bily Goat Taverns. The image in my mind was that this was a single small place ala the skit of the original SNL, but I was clearly wrong. My boss told me she’d take me by the original one at the end of the week….I guess I didn’t pay attention to this fact as I am sure many of you already knew this.

I found the Berghoff, which tuns out to be just a block from where I am staying, and am eager to check that out tommorrow evening. I was suprised at the prices on the menu — I expecged them to be much higher…..

Also found the Italian Beef place — Luke’s — that a reader here recommended. They close at 4pm daily, so I have to hope that at least one of the lunch breaks this week isn’t preplanned.
