I have had the Chicago Beef at the Billy Goat stand in the Jazz Cafe at O’hara airport. Very good. We used to have a place called GT Rocks here in Rochester that served a great chicago beef sandwich au juice with the jardineer relish, but they closed several years ago.

This sounds strange coming from someone who hates McDonalds food, but Arby’s has a new spicy italian beef sandwhich which is very similar to a chicago beef except it has a slice of provalone cheese. Not the highest quality roast beef in it, but it’s about the closest I can come to the real thing locally.
