We were in Charleston last week and had a great lunch at Poogan’s Porch. Actually it was about 75 degrees, so we actually ate on the porch!
It’s just too bad that our son is not a seafood eater. We visit him in Ch’ton, and he never wants to try it. We had the privilege of eating at Alice’s on King many years ago, and it was truly a Roadfood experience. It closed a while ago, I’m sorry to say.

We visit our son in Charleston as well. He eats any and everything as he is a Citadel Man. After the first year’s Knob experience in the chow hall, he has a very good appreciation for all of the fine eating establishments in CHS. Just last week he told me about Poogan’s Porch. I told him that I was wondering how he could afford all these great places like Poogan’s and he said, "Oh Dad, don’t think for a minute I can go there except for lunch when it is less expensive….
When I come back in my next life I want it to be as my youngest son.
