I would recommend Anson, which is located on Anson street a couple blocks north of North Market Street. It takes low country cuisine to a whole new level. Their shrimp and grits is the best I’ve ever had. The restaurant itself is also quite beautiful.

If you’re in the mood for oysters, check out Pearlz, which is a couple blocks south of Market street on East Bay Street. They have Oysters from many different regions near and far.

Charleston is a a great city.. especially for those who love to eat. Enjoy.

Also, there was a diner I went to for lunch when walking from Meeting Street to Rutledge Avenue from the Market area. I meandered around a bit so I don’t know what street it was on. The food was great though! I had she crab soup and biscuits and gravy that had a somewhat cajun twist. Anyone know what diner this is? I’d love to visit it on my next trip to Charleston.
