I remember Burger King as a good place at one time – probably a warm fuzzy feeling from decades ago that makes me try them again every 6 months or so. But the other day when I stopped in needing lunch I first saw a big crowd waiting to pick up their orders…bad start. Then the guy w/ his young son in front of me started inquiring which ‘Star Wars’ toys were currently available. Points to the server for trying to accommodate him, but they entered lengthy inquries which turned into open-ended negotiations…and when she disappeared he hadn’t even placed his order yet. The next server behind the counter walked past the growing line with a thousand-yard ‘what am I doing here’ stare and disappeared. I promptly did the same. If they’re not about fast food, what are they?
