Jennifer,
I had a nice talk with the bartender at Rose’s about the reconstruction. Many more months than they planned! BTW, they have a great happy hour.
The Cajun shrimp and scallops sounds excellent—I’ll have to try that out. My only two disappointments wer in Cambria—–I got there too early to eat at the Main Street Grill, where they cook everything over that big outdoor wood pit. The other was in Port San Luis—-they were out of my favorite—–spider crabs!
So what other places do you recommend in that area?
Donna,
Thanks! Yes, it was fun and a challenge to do it that one day. I suppose if I’d gone light on my tips (the one thing I don’t care about Rachael’s show is that some episodes do the $40 with tips and some don’t) I could have kept right there, but I consider the $2 an OK "margin of error". And yes, for what I had—–I’ve seen very little of her shows that I would have enjoyed as much as I enjoyed that day’s.
