Don’t know about soft-serve, but I know Maxwell House coffee was different on each coast. "Pacific" Maxwell House was a lighter roast than "East Coast" MH (even thi they were labled and advestied as the same). They thought that the East Coast wanted darker coffee because it had more European immigrants who were used to espresso.
Maybe those European immigrants are used to heavier Tatee Freez??????
