Back to Texas

Leaving Little Rock , we ate breakfast at Ed and Kay’s. Wonderful country breakfast. Liketoeat has previously given an insightful review of this place. I first stumbled in there so many years ago that I don’t remember, and it was many times my "oasis" on a trip.

We detoured down to Pittsburg, TX for lunch, stopping at Pittsburg Hot Links. I’ve eaten the links a few times on passes through there, but this is the first time I’ve ordered a cheeseburger. EXCELLENT! Don’t bother with the fries, but the vinegar-based hot sauce there mixes perfect with the links.

(Caution: these links aren’t pretty. My daughter said they looked like dog poop, and I couldn’t disagree. They’re pretty tasty, though.) Sorry to be so graphic, but I don’t like to mislead.
