Just what I was about to mention! Actually, I have to admit to a bias…I won’t order bread pudding in a restaurant outside of Louisiana, Mississippi or Biloxi. I don’t believe I’ve ever had bad bread pudding.
But mostly, since I live in Michigan, I make my own, depending on my mood. I’ve got a ton of recipes using various breads, pastries, and biscuits, with a bunch of different sauces.
@doggydaddy: Custard base? I’ve never had bread pudding on a base of any kind, everything is all mixed in together. Sounds interesting, just not what I’m used to.
