The best way to reduce any sauce takes just a little time. How long? I have found that it can reduce to nothing in about the time it takes for me to do another task and come back to the kitchen and see that it is too late….[:(!][:I]
My best story is the time that I cooked a big pot of beans in a lot of liquid. I took a walk to the store up the corner and on the way back watched a fire truck drive down the street to some emergency. They went to my place!!! It was that the beans had burned and the smoke was noticed by the other tenants.
So in my experience, you can reduce most things in the time it takes to get the paper on the corner….
