Hey John,
FYI, "Brauts" in German means Brides. Brats (bratwuerst)is the correct spelling. Certainly not as bad as JB referring to a "bowl" as a "bowel." [:D]
I love sauerkraut with onions, esp. sprinkled with caraway seed. MMMMMMMM. In Germany, at most Beer festivals, one can order Schupfnudeln mit kraut und speck. Which is a medium sized noodle, (larger than Spaetzle but the same dough) pan fried in bacon grease, then mixed with sauerkraut and "fat back" (bacon) and fried some more…..man is THAT literally to die for! It is sooooo goood.
