what other options are there besides beer? (dare I ask such a question!) i mean, i don’t like beer so will I taste it on the brats? I made something SORT of similar this evening. I used eckrich brand smoke sausage and browned them in a pan, added diced up potatoes and an onion then added a can of saurkraut and added a cup of apple juice to the pot and let it simmer for about 30 minutes. It was REALLY good. I wonder if it would’ve been better with brats, though.
