I would have to concur, given the choice is between those two. A construction company owner in Nashville told me that Dickel had fewer impurities because it isn’t "rushed" like Jack Daniels seems to him to be.
I still say I prefer Maker’s Mark, and would really love to have some more of their no-longer-produced 101 version. Gracious, that stuff could turn me into a bona-fide Bourbon drinker….
