Used to go to Boston Chicken a lot in the mid-90’s. It was a decent place for a quick pick-up meal. But when the name changed to Boston Market, it went downhill fast. I still see a few around the Chicago area, but never go.
Anyone who’s in Chicago and wants a good chicken dinner should make a fast run over to the Athenian Room on Webster Street just west of Halsted and order the Kalamata chicken. I haven’t had it for months and I’m craving it. Crunchy skin redolant of vinegar, with vinegar-tinged crispy fried potatos snuggled underneath. I went here for my pre-bachelor party dinner.
