This is from Gran–an old family favorite. It’s amazing.
Cherry Pudding
2 c. canned tart cherries in water, drained
3/4 c. sugar
3 T butter, softened
1/2 c. milk
1 c. flour
1 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt
Line greased pan with drained cherries. Pour above mixture over them.
Make this topping:
1 c. sugar
1/4 t. salt
1 T cornstarch
Spread topping over cherries and batter. Pour 1 c. boiling water over all. Bake at 375 for about an hour.
Lize
