It was probably O’Keefe Extra Stock Old Ale, which came/comes in big barrel cans. I last saw it at a gas station in Greenville, South Carolina a few years ago. It was 6.5% by volume, 5% by weight.
If that’s not it, it would be Molson Brador, which is available in Ontario and in immediately adjacent New York State. (I can’t help but wonder if the cans are identical or different?)
