Yes, Al (the mayor) you’re right. Potsdam, which is not too far from Montreal, IS tropical compared to northern NH, where I used to teach. I lived a couple miles from Mt. Washington, and it was unbelievably cold. And the snowiest place I’ve ever lived was Syracuse, where I did my student teaching. But hey, if I drank enough cheap beer, I stayed toasty warm![:D]
