I hate to tell a guy he is wrong but YOU ARE WRONG!
Sweigles is a hot dog company that also sells some sausage,
ummmmm, actually you have that backwards, they do make hot dogs but most of the business is Sausage (I know the folks there pretty well)…….But I will forgive you! One thing you have got to love is the fact the only on roadfood can a person take a simple subject and turn it in to a personal war meaning "I am right" and you are wrong" I am just having a bit of fun with you though but Zweigles Do Rule!
I’m just having a bit of fun right back. No hurt feelings on my end. (that’s why the LOL and just kidding part)
This Sweigles vs. Gianelli or Sweigles vs. Hofmann’s is as old as the Rochester vs. Syracuse war.
It’s all in fun, I assure you. In fact, While I think Hofmann’s coney is way better than sweigles, I like Sweigles red dog better than Hofmann’s, so I know Sweigles is right up there. Of course, I like Meier and Ranz red dogs even better, but, that another story.
And, I’m not swayed by Sweigles claim that they’re a "sausage" company. Sweigles started out as a hot dog company. Their very first product was the white hot dog, it’s what made them famous in Rochacha. They may try to pawn themselves off as a sausage company since hot dogs are encased and they dabble, even persistantly, in sausage making, but they’ll always be a hot dog company in my mind. Gianelli is ONLY a sausage company. That was their first product, and that’s all they’ve ever made (even though they’re helping to sell "Dino BBQ sauce" on their website, but I can forgive that. I think we’d both agree that Dinosaur BBQ kicks a$$.)
That said, it’s not like I’d turn down a Sweigles hot dog OR sausage.
