I agree 100% about the food at Shea…except those you can get from Mama’s as explained earlier in thread. If you take the #7 train to Shea, another worthy stop you may want to try is El Sitio at 68th street and Roosevelt ave…a few blocks from the woodside station. I often stop there on my way to Shea and pick up a few of their outstanding (better than any I have had even in S. Florida) Cuban sandwiches. Here is more info…
Be warned, however, that when you pull these from the bag and start eating, you will be swarmed with "where do they sell THOSE" questions.
Just to add to the thread, I had some good (and cheap!) chili Dogs at the old El Toro field in Durham, which I believe has now been replaced.
