I can’t add anything the guys haven’t already said; If I was coming for 3 days I would have a cheeseburger @ the Nite Owl & a nice cheeseburger lunch @ Kopp’s & maybe some custard, but DEFINITELY some custard from Leon’s. Also a fish fry is in order.
Real chili has normal chili, too. If you’re by Marquette, try the lasagne @ Angelo’s & a breakfast @ Miss Katie’s.
I was not a corned beef person either until Jake’s but now I am a bona fide corned beef fan & now thanks to MilwaukeeFoodlovers, a pastrami fan as well. You should at least try to go. I’m serious.
Sciortino’s: the bread. Omg the little rolls. so good.
Speed Queen: bbq chicken
Mader’s: sauerbraaten? Depends on what you like.
As for pasty’s you can make them at home.
refrigerated pie crusts
cheapest ground beef you can find
^^chop vegetables & fry up ground beef. can fry the veggies a little bit if you want, in the beef fat. Mmmm. Beef fat. Unfold pie crusts & fill with beef fat mixture. Fold over like a calzone & pinch edges together. Bake according to package directions (crust should be a nice golden brown) Serve with ketchup.
Have fun while you are here & be sure to check out the art museum’s building. It’s awesome, even better inside.
