Wegmans in the Western New York area is the premier supermarket chain.
All other chains would like to be like Wegmans but would have a long way to go. I was in the supermarket business for over 15 years working for Kroger in one of their regional offices and have never seen a chain like Wegmans. Wegmans private label products are the top of the line and are as good as the national brands if not better.
