Brothers BBQ in Newark has great ribs. It’s take out only and it’s in a less than desireble area. The store front is easy to miss and you order from in front of bulletproof glass.

The ribs, however, are the best i’ve had in New Jersey. They are a St. Louis rib served with your choice of a mild or hot suace. (the hot is spicy.) They are smokey, crusty, and tender. A regular rib sandwhich costs about $6.50 and a rib dinner (with two sides) is $8.25.

If you don’t mind taking a trip to South Orange ave., it’s worth it.
