Sorry to hear about Wolf’s east. I was out of the area for about a decade and hadn’t tried that location yet (and probably won’t now, though its predecessor- on Columbia Ave. right off 41 was hailed as the best in town for decades). My family has told me that service at 1st Avenue has become quite disappointing as well, so they tend to patronize carry out.
Their German potato salad (definitely the crown jewel of the establishment is also now available at local Buehler’s grocery stores). Their ribs really made their reputation- it would be criminal for such a delightful entree to live only in memory, but when service goes- the food often follows.
Try Shyler’s. Their service is usually quite good (and I’ve eaten there a lot in the past few months, so my memory of it is recent).
