They have a no-burning of tree-residue (branches and winter trimmings etc.) here in our county…but not across the street, that’s another county. We circumvent the burning of scrap wood by putting a TV tray near the fire and having a pkg of Hot dogs, Buns and a couple of sharp sticks nearby. That way we can say we are waiting for our cookout fire to burn down to coals for Lunch..or dinner depending on the time of day. In reality, burning on weekdays goes unnoticed, but on weekend all the volunteer firemen are searching everywhere for something to squirt on.
