I love crisp bacon. I order it that way in restaurants, and I cook it that way at home.
I cut the pound of bacon in half, then fry the half-strips. I started that at least 5 years ago, and I have been able to cook perfect bacon since. (No more burnt centers and fatty ends.)
Bacon is the one pork product that I would have a REAL hard time giving up. [:p]
