Great report! I haven’t been to Iowa in 30 years and don’t expect to be there any time soon, but what a great way to take a vicarious trip there on a rainy Saturday morning in NJ!

Interesting about the Danish community in Iowa. The neighborhood in Brooklyn where I grew up in the 50s/60s(Bay Ridge)had a very large Scandinavian community, almost all of which has disappeared to the Suburbs. One of the last vestiges, the Danish Club & Restuarant, is closing some time this year and we’ve been talking about making a farewell visit. Your report has reminded me that I need to do this.
