My uncle has a little orchard and my favorite early apple was called a snow apple. It was a little round apple, bright magenta on the outside and perfectly white inside. Very sweet but not a good keeper. Unfortunately, my uncle is 85 and his health isn’t what it used to be so he’s not replacing the trees that die. The snow apple tree is gone and I’ve never seen the variety in any of the local farmer’s markets. [:(]
