Hi All –

Out here in Washington state we’re blessed with lots of varieties of apples – Jonagold, Pink Lady, Cameo, and Braeburn, to name a few. We’re moving out to Wisconsin next month, so I’d like to know if there are any regional apple varieties out in the Midwest, or in other parts of the US.

In southeastern Wisconsin, there are many small orchards with lots of road side stands and farmer’s markets. Local grown apples include: Macs, Delicious, Jonathans, and Galas. Lots of good local apple cider. What part of the state is going to be your new home? We’re considering moving to the Pacific northwest: Washington, Oregon, or Vancouver, BC.
