Has anyone ever tried Macouns? They are grown in upstate New York State & Vermont for sure and maybe other places as well. The taste is tart & delicious. But alas, it seems to be an apple that has a very short harvest. I agree on the Red Delicious – dry & flavorless.
As far as peaches in NJ, Mr. Mayor, the southern part of the state is loaded with peach trees & blueberries (third in production in the U.S. I think). They don’t call it the "Garden State" for nothing!
