Pogo,

I got into roasting about 2 years ago, started with a Freshroast. The Freshroast does a good job but at 62 grams of beans a batch it is just too small to make enough to last the week.

I bought a whirlypop and burnt a few pounds of coffee trying to master that. I am sure I could master it if I had the patience.

I then built a SC/TO, Stir Crazy/Turbo Oven which works great. I got the parts at the swap meet so my investment was small. I do 8oz batches in the SC/TO which is the right size for me.

Ethiopian Harar Horse is my favorite I go to city+ for the chocolate notes.

Anyone in Orange County CA roasting?
